GCH CH Vin-Melca’s The Norseman   
Yuba City was the site of the Two CitiesKennel Club’s two shows this past weekend. Their first final was in the hands of Dr Dale Simmons.  His seven options were the English Setter,GCH CH Oakley’s B’Dazzled, the Norwegian Elkhound, GCH CH Vin-Melca’s TheNorseman, the Alaskan Malamute, CH Peaceriver Silverice Summer Solstice, theBorder Terrier, GCH CH McHill's HRH Prince Gizmo House Of Gremlin, the CavalierKing Charles Spaniel, GCH CH Quail Garden Loch Lomond Déjà vu, the TibetanTerrier, GCH CH Sunclipse Mystique, and the Canaan Dog, GCH CH Pleasant HillMagnum Of Samara.

The first two toscore top awards were the Canaan Dog, Mag, who got the Reserve, and theElkhound, Eric.  Eric, handled bylegendary breeder/owner Pat Trotter, has picked up three BIS and 15 HoundGroups in very limited showing this year.

Sundaythe judge’s book would be handed off to Larry Sinclair who would consider thesame English Setter, Malamute, & Border Terrier,  the 13” Beagle, GCH CH Bougain'eNaughty-N-Lovely Alvin, the Japanese Chin, GCH CH Victory Spencer, and theLhasa Apso, GCH CH Rufkins Squeezin Into A Speedo Kh.  
 His Top Two were his Reserve, the EnglishSetter, Dazzle, and his Best In Show, the Malamute.  It’s the 17 month old dog’s first BIS.  We expect to see another one soon.  Congratulations to breeder Michele Coburn,owners Linda Byrne & Alisa Syar, and handler Mike Stone.  We hope to have a photo for you soon.
