Our first results for the week are in from Savannah GA wherethe hometown Savannah Kennel Club opened a four day set.  Both our Number One and Two Dogs All Breeds, theGerman Wirehaired Pointer, GCH CH Mt View’s Ripsnorter Silver Charm, and theEnglish Springer Spaniel, GCH CH Wynmoor Champagne Supernova,  made it as far as Houston Clark’s SportingGroup, but only one can advance and it was the GWP, Oakley.

Houston Clark also had the BIS book and his pick of Oakley, theAfghan Hound, GCH CH Tells Matrix Reloaded, the Boxer, CH Hi-Tech The King OfSherry Shoot Jp, the Scottish Terrier, GCH CH Lomondview Clementina, theAffenpinscher, GCH CH Banana Joe V Tani Kazari, the Keeshond, GCH CH Tumpet’sIt’s Good To Be King, and the Puli, GCH CH Cordmaker Rumpus Bumpus.
Day one went to Oakley hwil the Reserve fell to the Scottie,Phoebe.  Oakley now has 69 BIS and hasadvanced his lead over the Springer, Peyton, to about 2300 points.

The Montgomery County Kennel Club and the Cahaba Kennel Cluboffered up three days of hospitality in Montgomery AL this past weekend.

It all began on Friday with the day one show of the MCKC whoasked Robert Jacobsen to chose a Best and Reserve from the Golden Retriever,GCH CH Summits Emery It's In The Bag, the Whippet, GCH CH Bo-Bett Speed Demon,the Kuvasz, GCH CH Szumeria’s Wildwood Silver Six Pence, the MiniatureSchnauzer, GCH CH Allaruth Just Kidding V Sole Baye, the Pekingese, GCH CHBriar-Mar American Gigilo at Vannjty, the Lhasa Apso, GCH CH CH Rufkins SqueezinInto A Speedo Kh, and the Australia Shepherd, GCH CH Myshara’s Dancing Queen.
The first BIS of the set went to the Kuvasz, Tanner, whilethe Peke picked up the Reserve.  Tanneris the winningest Kuvasz in AKC history with 49 BIS, 24 of which have come thisyear.

The rest of the set would belong to the German WirehairedPointer, GCH CH Reece afterhours The Buck Stops Here JH, who took both Saturday’sMCKC and Sunday’s CKC BIS.  On Saturdayjudge  Molly Martin preferred Truman to theGreat Dane, GCH CH Longo Miller N Lore's Diamond Lil, whom she preferred to the Saluki,GCH CH Sandstorm Blue Nile Bubbles of Jatara, the above named MiniatureSchnauzer, Friday’s RBIS Peke, the Bichon Frise, GCH CH Glenleigh Gang's 'NRoses or the Pembroke Welsh Corgi, GCH CH Dalarno Nite Song At Morningstar.

Sunday Truman impressed Judith Brown more than her RBIS, thepreviously seen Saulki, Bubbles, Saturday’s RBIS, the Great Dane, Scout, theCairn Terrier, GCH CH  Connacht AHa'Penny Will Do, the Maltese, CH Divine's Veni Vidi Vici, the ChineseShar-Pei, GCH CH Jade East Do You Know The Way To San Jose, or the GermanShepherd Dog, GCH CH Karizma's Ike Of Edale.

Truman has been on a tear this month with six BIS in thelast three weekends, brining his 2012 total to 16.  Nothing like having a little momentum goinginto the last month of the season.

Alvarado TX, 40 miles south of Dallas, was the site of thisweekend’s Cen-Tex Kennel Club shows.  Theopening final on Saturday was in the hands of BIS judge Jim Briley.  The seven he saw were the Golden Retriever, CHSummit's Sonny Side Up, the Petit Basset Griffon Vendeen, GCH CH SoletraderMaggie May Of M & M, the Boxer, GCH CH Winfall I Dream of Style, the ColoredBull Terrier, GCH CH Glentom's You Were Mint For Me, the Pomeranian, GCH CH JanLe's Deck The Walls, the Miniature Poodle, CH Sandstorm X's In Texas, theCardigan Welsh Corgi, GCH CH Aubrey's Tails Of Mystery.

The two he chose as his BIS and RBIS were the Boxer and theMini Poodle.   Macey is the country’s Number One Boxer bitchand the Number Four Working Dog with 20 BIS this year.  You can bet you will find us at the Boxerring next month in Orlando to watch the Top two Boxers.

Her top two were the Corgi and the Pom.  It’s the sixth BIS this year for the Corgi,Libby & handler Sherri Hurst.

Our show week ended in Stockton CA where the I-5 crowdcapped a four day two town weekend.  Theystarted on Friday in Turlock CA, some 45 miles south, where the Golden ValleyKennel Club hosted the first two days.

Friday’s final was called by Col Joe Purkhiser who greetedthe Weimaraner, GCH CH Silhouettes LifeInTheFastlane, the Basset Hound, GCH CH Blossomhill'sHello Dolly, the Standard Schnauzer, GCH CH Steinhaus Maxim Courage RN, theWire Fox Terrier, GCH CH AfterAll Painting The Sky, the Chinese Crested, GCH CHDejavu I Want'a Talk About Me, the Keeshond, GCH CH Windrift's Follow The Money,and the Smooth Collie, GCH CH Travlers Pierce Arrow.
First blood went to the Wire Fox while the Reserve awardwent to the Smooth Collie.  Sky is the US’Number One Terrier and the Number Four Dog All Breeds with 34 BIS this year.

Most of the exhibitors were already in Stockton whenSaturday’s GVKC final started.  The sevenwho stayed all day to see judge Elizabeth Muthard were the above namedWeimaraner, Basset, & Wire Fox, the Rottweiler, CH High Hills Holy Smoke BN,the Maltese, GCH CH Scylla's Small Kraft Re-Lit, the French Bulldog, GCH CH Lebull'sNew Hope Wooly Bully, and the German Shepherd Dog, CH Suboja's Army Soldier HT.
The two that got the BIS and RBIS were the Basset and theWire.  It’s the first BIS this year inten final appearances for the Basset, Dolly. Congratulations to breeder/owner Sukey Shore and handler Mike stone.

The San Joaquin Kennel Club picked up the action on Sundayin Stockton and asked Jan Sigler to look over the Field Spaniel, GCH CH Promenade'sPay It Forward, the Whippet, GCH CH Starline’s Chanel, the aforementionedRottweiler, the Scottish Terrier, GCH CH Friendship Hill Stars And Stripes, thepreviously seen Chinese Crested, the Bichon Frise, GCH CH PaRay Power andPrivilege, and the Pembroke Welsh Corgi, GCH CH Coventry Allure at Wyndstar.

The two she liked were her BIS, the  Chinese Crested, and her Reserve, the Whippet.  It’s Toby’s fourth BIS in 22 finalappearances this season.

The SJKC’s closer on Monday was the only game in town, infact the only show in the US that day.  Assuch it drew dogs from all over hungry for a few more points.  The seven seeking Bonnie Linnell Clarke’sfavor were the German Wirehaired Pointer, GCH CH Mt view’s Ripsnorter SilverCharm, the Harrier, GCH CH Downhome Hitch Innovator, the now familiar Rottweilerand Scottie, the Pekingese, GCH CH Windermere’s Dusting Of White At Pevyne, theStandard Poodle, GCH CH Penndragon Owain, and  the Cardigan welsh Corgi, GCH CH Mariel’sHarvest Moon.

It was the country’s Number One Dog, the GWP, Oakley takinghome the week’s last big rosette.  Whilethe Peke, Dusty, ambled off with the RBIS. Oakley goes into the new week with around a 2000 point lead on the NumberTwo Dog.  However, if you read my Back Story column today on Best In Show Daily, you know that it will all come down to thelast weekend of the year.

GCH CH Doc N Camelot's Heaven Can Wait, the Saluki, GCHCH Bay Watch Babe Von Agrani, the Newfoundland, GCH CH Timberknoll's EmbraceThe Journey, the Wire Fox Terrier, GCH CH Gordon’s Bite of the Apple, the Havanese,CH Surluv Lickin Larrgo De Grace, the Keeshond, GCH CH Sprookje Lunar Appellation,and the Polish Lowland Sheepdog, Swancrest The Power Of Love Eternal.

Collecting the Reserve award was the Weimaraner, while theWire Fox, took home the Best In Show.  We’vebeen hearing good things about Butch since he and handler Leonardo Garcini pickedup a hat trick back in July.  Sunday’sBIS was Butch’s fifth this year in 30 final appearances this year.
