This morning we have the results of the OzarksKennel Club’s two shows in Springfield MO, where we had the rarity of BACK2BACKBIS by a Basset Hound. (We don’t get ashot at that kind of alliteration often) Saturday, the country’s Number OneBasset Hound, GCH CH Topsfield-Sanchu Eenie Meenie Miney Moe, was Dr RobertBerndt BIS. DR Berndt also liked theCardigan Welsh Corgi, CH Claymores Madame Butterfly, whom he gave the RBIS.
Rounding out Saturday’s final were the German ShorthairedPointer, GCH CH Kan Points Makin The Chase, the Boxer, GCH CH Winfall I Dreamof Style, the Norwich Terrier, GCH CH Skyscots Texas Hold’Em, the BrusselsGriffon, GCH CH Endor and Donandru's New Moon, and the Standard Poodle, GCH CH Dawin Heartson Fire.
CH Jan Le's Deck The Walls Sunday the Basset, Tiger, impressed judge Fred Bassett, morethan did the RBIS, the Pomeranian, CH Jan Le's Deck The Walls, the EnglishCocker Spaniel, GCH CH Newstead Echoes Of Love, the Staffordshire Bull Terrier,GCH CH Cumhil Hellraiser, the Chinese Shar-Pei, GCH CH Jade East Do You KnowThe Way To San Jose, and the Polish Lowland Sheepdog, GCH CH Ponwood's Smoky.
Tiger is the only Basset Hound to win a BIS this year. He and handler Brian Martin have seven BISand 45 Hound Groups, good enough to make Tiger the Number Seven Hound in theUS.
