Fanciers were in Salisbury MD for five days last week.  Check our archives for stories on the TalbotKennel Club’s two shows.

On Friday Dr Albert Bianchi was in the final ring for thehometown Salisbury Maryland Kennel Club. His super seven were the English Springer Spaniel, GCH CH WynmoorChampagne Supernova, the American Foxhound, GCH CH Kiarry’s Pandora’s Box, theAkita, GCH CH CR-Wica Trader’s Secret, the Scottish Terrier, GCH CH LomondviewClementina, the Affenpinscher, GCH CH Banana Joe V Tani Kazari, Dalmatian, GCH CHSpotlight’s Ruffian, and the German Shepherd Dog, GCH CH Babheim’s CaptainCrunch. 
Grabbing the top prize over that imposing competition wasthe Akita, Trader.  The Doctor’s Reservewas the Springer, Peyton.  It wasTrader’s sixth BIS in 57 times in the final ring.

Saturday saw some of the top dogs head for other venues, butmost stayed put hoping to see BIS judge Dr John Reeve-Newson.  The seven he saw were the Weimaraner, GCH CHNorthwoods Send Money Honey, the Bloodhound, GCH CH Snoopi Friends In LowPlaces MLH, the Saint Bernard, GCH CH Jamelle’s Aristocrat V Elba, the abovenamed  Scottie, Affenpinscher, &Dalmatian,  and the German Shepherd Dog,CH CH Adelgards Guilty As Charged V Tsali.

The Doctor’s RBIS was the Weimaraner, Schatze, and his BISwas the Affenpinscher, Joey.  Joey is thecountry’s Number One Toy Dog and the Number Five Dog All Breeds.  He and handler Ernesto Lara have collected 35BIS this year.
GCH CH Northwood’s First Reign
Joan Scott had the closer and her pick of previouslymentioned Foxhound, Scottie, Dalmatian, & the GSD, GCH CH Babheim’s Captaincrunch, the Irish Setter, GCH CH Northwinds First Reign, and the DobermanPinscher, GCH CH D’s Remember When.
GCH CH Spotlight’s Ruffian
Packing up the stop’s last awards were the RBIS, the Dal,Ian, and the Irish Setter, Reign.   It’s a year when it’s tough to be a SportingDog.  Reign now has two BIS in  23 final attempts.  Yes, it is rough out there.
