GCH CH Babheim’s Captain Crunch
The German Shepherd Dog, GCH CH Babheim’s Captain Crunch, took home his second BIS of  the four day stop in Dunkirk NY, picking up the win from Charlotte McGowan at today’s Olean Kennel Club show.  Capi was challenged by the Curly-Coated Retriever, GCH CH Down Datrail Hunting Thrills CD, the 15” Beagle, GCH CH Torquay Be Nice to Me, the Bernese Mountain Dog, CH Arundel’s Diezel s Nobody s Fool, the Smooth Fox Terrier, GCH CH High Mtn Warfox Thunders Fall, the King Charles & ruby English Toy Spaniel, GCH CH Southdown Nevermind, and the Tibetan Spaniel, GCH CH Shenanwood Simply Imagine This.  
Capi’s 12th BIS suddenly makes the race for Number One Herding Dog awfully interesting.

We return to our computer after a very busy Fathers Day to find a stack of show reports for you.  It was a week where the new faces dominated the familiar ones.  
We are going to start our report in Troy Ohio where the Echo Hills Kennel Club was set up for two days.  You can read about Saturday’s show here.  Dana Cline had the final final for the Echo Hills Kennel Club Of Ohio and his pick of the Pointer, GCH CH Oncore Mykyna Storm, the American Foxhound, GCH CH Kiarry’s Pandora’s Box, the Giant Schnauzer, GCH CH Kenro’s Witching Hour, the Smooth Fox Terrier, GCH CH, J’Cobe Broxden Danea, the Blenheim & Prince Charles Spaniel, GCH CH Loujon Thornwood Little Jacob, the Standard Poodle, GCH CH Jaset’s Satisfaction, and the Shetland Sheepdog, GCH CH Grandgables The Frat Boy.  
He chose the Toy Spaniel, Jacob, as his BIS.  It‘s the first for the three year old.  Congratulations to breeders/owners Karen Miller, Jamie Ward, owner Cindy Williams, and handler Karen Prickett Miller.

One familiar face had a very good weekend.  2011’s Number One Dog, the Black Cocker Spaniel, GCH CH Casablanca’s Thrilling Seduction, pulled off the hat trick, sweeping all three of the BIS offered by the Grand Traverse Kennel Club.  You can read all the details on the Friday show here and the Saturday show here.  
Sunday Beckham would be joined in William Cunningham’s ring by the Treeing Walker Coonhound, CH Edge’s Clay Hollow Miss Piper, the Doberman Pinscher. GCH CH Protocol’s Veni Vidi Vici, the Staffordshire Bull Terrier, GCH CH Homebrewed Page Three Girl RN, the Yorkshire Terrier, GCH CH Stratford‘s Diamond Jim, the Lowchen, GCH CH Touche‘s Vindication, and the Puli, GCH CH Moonshadow Rongyos Kis Medve.  
The winningest Cocker of all time now has 114 career BIS, 23 of which have come this year.

CH Karizma’s Ike of Edale  
The Western Carolina Dog Fanciers Association had Toddie Clark do Sunday’s final in Waynesville NC.  Her BIS line up featured the German Wirehaired Pointer, GCH CH Reece Afterhours the Buck Stops Here JH, the Otterhound, GCH CH White River’s He’s a Keeper!, the Boxer, GCH CH Ho-Pa’s Grand Slam, the Norfolk Terrier, GCH CH Bigwig’s Mack the Knife, the Pug, GCH CH Caper’s Sirius Endeavor, the Standard Poodle, GCH CH Fantastico da Maya, and the German Shepherd Dog, CH Karizma’s Ike of Edale.  
Her Best was the GSD, Ike.  It’s the second for Ike and handler Lenny Brown, with both wins coming in the last 30 days.

Our next report comes in from the Sunshine State where the St Petersburg Dog Fanciers Association treated fanciers to two days in Palmetto FL.  Both of the big rosettes would go to dogs calling Florida home.  On Saturday the Miniature Pinscher from Davie FL, GCH CH Marlex Classic Red Glare, was Carolyn Herbel’s BIS.  Joining Classing and owner/handler Armando Angelbello in her final were the Golden Retriever, CH Alexander Romance Gold Ledged, the Whippet, GCH CH Karasar Remembrence, the Newfoundland, GCH CH BigDownFarm’s Intenso Azzurro, the Australian Terrier, GCH CH Kambara’s Zebulon, the Standard Poodle, GCH CH Dacun Kaylyn He’s a Heartbreaker, and the Old English Sheepdog, GCH CH Windchymes S’thrn Breez Windsong.  
Classie’s 14th BIS of the year will make the race for Number One Toy Dog all the more exciting.   
CH Of Skyeline Captain Hook  
On Sunday the Skye Terrier from Finland, now residing in Ocala FL, CH Of Skyeline Captain Hook, caught the eye of Terri Lyddon.  She might have chosen the above named Golden, Whippet, MinPin, Standard Poodle, or OES or the Giant Schnauzer, GCH CH Doc’s Pride and Joy, but she didn’t  It’s the second AKC BIS for Barrie and handler Larry Cornelius in 27 final appearances.  Persistence matters.

Pat Mobray-Morgan had the day two final for the North Shore Kennel Club in Topsfield MA.   Her line up included the Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever, GCH CH Lennoxlove Susqudilla s Mini Cooper, the Petit Basset Griffon Vendeen, GCH CH Moknham‘s Famous Grouse, the Cane Corso, GCH CH Liberty‘s Armed and Dangerous, the Lakeland Terrier, GCH CH Larkspur Acadia, the Maltese, GCH CH Ta-Jon’s Pawstively Pawparazzi, the day one BIS winner, the Standard Poodle, Ale Kai Solo on Fifth, and the Shetland Sheepdog, GCH CH Rosmoor Protocol.  
BIS was the two year old Maltese, Snapshot.  It’s his first.  Congratulations to breeder/owner Tammy Simon, co-breeder John Simon, and owner Timothy Lehman.  We should have a photo for you shortly.

GCH CH Buckridge’s No Doubt About It  
Just south of Lake Erie the Conewango Valley Kennel Club was wrapping up their day two show in Dunkirk NY.  Arley Hussin chose his Best In Show from the Pointer, GCH CH Marjetta In The Limelight JH, the Scottish Deerhound, GCH CH Brakenshire Scotch n Ice, the Akita, GCH CH Buckridge’s No Doubt About It, the A White Bull Terrier, GCH CH Caben Muse-ic for the Soul, the  King Charles & Ruby English Toy Spaniel, GCH CH Southdown Nevermind, the Tibetan Spaniel, GCH CH Shenanwood Simply Imagine This, and the German Shepherd Dog, GCH CH Babheim’s Captain Crunch.  
Taking home the big rosette was the Akita, Rocky.  It’s the second this year for Rocky in seven final appearances.
